The TRP-232 is a battery-operated radio module capable of remotely measuring an electrical or heat meter (e.g.) using the RS-232 or an optical head (IEC1107). It transmits this data using the LoRaWAN protocol.

Description


The TRP-232 is capable of transmitting digital information read from the meters. The serial number, index and other adjustable values of the meter are transmitted.

Thanks to the advantages of LoRa technology and TRP™, data transmission takes place over long distances.

The TRP™-232 runs on a battery with a battery life of up to 10 years, depending on configuration.

How does that work ?

The module is configured from an XML file. The module queries the meter in RS-232 or IEC1107 (via optical head, article number 711408).
The filters defined in the XML file keep only some fields of the counter response (e.g. serial number, register 1.8.0, 1.8.1, 1.8.2, 2.8.0, 2.8.1, 2.8.2).

This data is then formatted into a LoRa packet and sent over the network.

This data may be sent to a TRMC-18 (Radio Receiver with Internal Non-Volatile Memory and Data Teletransmitter in 2G/3G/4G - article number 742304) or to a TRMC-19 (Data Reader, Radio Receiver, Data Logger and Data Teletransmitter in 2G/3G/4G - article number 739532).

The frequency of measurement of the meter is defined according to your choice (1x/day, 1x/hour or 1x/15min,…) as well as the frequency of data transmission in LoRa (e.g. 1x/day, 1x/hour, 1x/15min,...).

For configuration, it is necessary to use a USB <=> RJ12 adapter cable, which can be ordered separately (article number 708645). It is also necessary to use the program Axiome Basic, which is freely available on the Tetraedre website.

 

TRP™-232 : easy to use

The TRP™-232 allows you to transmit your meter data easily and have a reliable reading. Easy to install and small, the TRP™-232 will quickly find a place with your meter.

Like all TRP™s, the TRP™-232:

- is available in an ABS housing
- has a removable 3.7v/19Ah battery
- can be configured with a USB <=> RJ12 adapter cable to be ordered separately (article number 708645)
